David P. Meyer opened his own law firm in 2000 after spending several years conducting jury and non jury trials in both State and Federal courts, and is now an “AV” rated law firm. Meyer's vision - to aggressively and proactively represent individual investors and consumers on a contingency fee basis against corporate misconduct.

Over the last seven years, the firm has built what it believes to be the largest niche law practice in Ohio devoted solely to the prosecution of consumer class actions and the representation of investors with claims against the securities industry. The firm prosecutes individual cases and class actions nationwide on behalf of individuals in both arbitration and litigation. Since its inception, Meyer & Associates has achieved jury awards, arbitration awards and settlements with combined value of hundreds of millions of dollars on behalf of its clients.

In addition to its consumer class action practice, the Meyer firm has what it believes to be the largest practice in Ohio devoted to the representation of investors with claims against the securities industry. The firm has represented hundreds of investors. These matters include actions in state and federal court as well as NASD and NYSE arbitration.

David P. Meyer is the senior partner for the Columbus based law firm, David P. Meyer & Associates Co., LPA. Mr. Meyer holds a business administration degree from Ohio University and a law degree and masters degree in tax law from Ohio's Capital University Law School. Mr. Meyer devotes his practice to the representation of individual investors and consumers who have been the victims of stockbroker and consumer malpractice and who have suffered loss as the result of the misconduct of brokerage firms and other corporations.

Mr. Meyer has significant jury trial and securities arbitration experience. He served as class counsel for more than 300 retirees in a securities class action against a major brokerage firm that resulted in a jury verdict in excess of $261 Million, believed to be the largest jury verdict in Ohio's history.

Mr. Meyer is a recognized authority on securities arbitration procedure and often serves as a guest lecturer on securities fraud and stockbroker malpractice. Bar associations across Ohio have invited him to speak to attorneys at educational seminars. Mr. Meyer also provides education to investor groups, accountants and other financial professionals concerning investor protection.

Mr. Meyer is also a recognized member of The Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an organization formed to give recognition to advocates who have achieved a verdict, award or settlement for a client in the amount of one million dollars or more. During the past few years, several of Mr. Meyer's cases have received regional and international press coverage. Mr. Meyer's work has been covered by newspapers and magazines such as The Marion Star, The Daily Reporter, The Columbus Dispatch, The London Times, The National Law Journal, and Business First. In addition, the August 2003 edition of Columbus CEO Magazine featured a cover story about Mr. Meyer's law practice.

Mr. Meyer is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts throughout Ohio. In addition to these courts and jurisdictions, Mr. Meyer regularly works on cases throughout the country with local counsel. He is an active member of several legal professional associations, including the Public Investors' Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA), a national organization of attorneys dedicated to the advancement of investors' rights in securities arbitration proceedings.
